Adam and Eve 2

With thanks to the Flannelboard Artist
God was lonely. And He wanted to share His wonderful creation with someone. So He decided to make Adam.
God wanted to have human children, so He made Adam to look like Him - in His own Image and Likeness. Which was very exciting.
The angels were awed. They knew God loved them, but God had so sincerely wanted children.  They used to sing to Adam, and Adam loved their music.
God loved Adam, and they had many great times together in the Garden of Eden, which is Paradise. (A very happy and lovely place). But after a while, even when Adam played games with the zebras and peacocks and lions, he felt very lonely. In fact God saw Adam sitting one day all alone, with his head bowed down and very, very sad.
So God decided to cheer him up and made a friend and companion for him, Eve. Adam was thrilled. Eve was beautiful, and she was kind and listened to him. So Adam was no longer lonely, Eve enjoyed Adam's company. Every evening they used to wait for God.   When God had finished His Work in the Universe for the day (keeping the planets rotating properly, making sure the sun didn't burn too brightly for planet earth, listening to the angels and doing God-things) He would go down into the garden.
He and Adam and Eve used to walk around the Garden, chatting and laughing, watching the little monkeys and the cute little kittens, the eagles flying and the fish jumping in the pond. It was all so much fun.
How great is God to have made Adam and Eve, our first parents. And how great God is to have made each one of us, and to love each one of us very specially.
